The Story Of Two Souls

Dear readers,

It has been so long since I have come up and so many things have happened in my life that it forces me to question how much do I know...about myself. Here, I want to share a poem in the words of which, I try to cover a part of  life but this isn't my story, but that of many hearts. Anyway, hope you like it...

                                  The Story Of Two Souls

Two souls walked hand in hand
Their love had a tempting glow
Neither in haste, nor leisurely,
The sands of time did flow.

The road went on and on,
With pebbles in between,
Filled with pangs of jealousy
Concealed beneath their sheen.

The road went on and on
And divide at last in two
For once the souls had each a choice to make,
Two chose two.

The astra inclinant,
Showed them the way,
Each had a path to walk.
And though they preserved their glow,
With all their might,
But alas, came the dead of night.

One soul felt the need to run,
The pebbles shattered his faith in stars.
He ran and ran and ran and ran
Ad infinitum
To defeat the wheel of time.
Engaged in his endeavour,
One soul all alone,
He blindly left behind...

                                                      ...

With love,
Namrata

In the name of religion

www.asianews.it
I went to the India of 1940s.
She was in fragments
And all chaos was in name of religion.
Tormented, tortured, and with throes,
In the little soul dwelling in me,
Returned I,
To the India of present times,
She is in fragments,and,
All chaos is in the name of religion

Linguistic Chauvinism: My thoughts.

saifahmadkhan.wordpress.com
Every individual is born with multiple identities; at first people identify him or her as a boy or a girl. As the individual grows up, he or she comes to bear a religious identity and his or her occupational identity: a doctor, a teacher, a businessman and so on. But he or she also comes to bear another identity, which is, his/her linguistic identity. These various identities make up an individual, they make him or her independent. And, when you take away any of these identities, yo are in a way making the person handicap. Linguistic chauvinism is the act of harboring the idea that one's language is superior to others, so much so that it may lead to enforcement of one's language on others, and thus destroying the linguistic identity of others.

"Be it the Germans imposing German language on the French after the Prussian war or the Indians' Hindi language being chained in shackles by the British, it has always been 'language' bearing the bitter repercussions." Soon after, people become oblivious to their own mother tongue and lose their feelings of nationalism.

See, Linguistic chauvinism is the ardent love of a person for his or her language but to oppress that of others, I feel it is very wrong. Sure, you should love and respect your own language but you should also be open to that of others because that is the least you can do to ensure harmony.

"Change your language and you change your thought"

Election fever

http://images.indianexpress.com/
Dear readers,

It's so good to be finally back in blogger. It's been ages since I last wrote. I have been so busy with high school. Anyway, today let's talk about elections. State elections are here and now that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started giving some major competition to the age old Congress party , both the parties have made it so apparent that the only motive right now, is to be in power. The ideals of democracy are still alive, but only in theories, in text books. In reality, we have slaughtered them long ago and although we know that, yet our textbook writers hardly seem to take note of that. You know, every party is forming alliances just to ensure more seats in the Assembly. Where did all the ideals go, the ideals which supposedly gave rise to that party? They are forming alliances without even considering whether the ideals of both the parties coincide or not.

It scares me. The fact that Indian Politics is going in the direction of being doomed, it scares me a lot. India, still is a young nation and it's been only 64 years of freedom. India still has lots to work upon but the progress is being manipulated and is being hindered by this political system. Maybe, you'd think I am over exaggerating things but no. This is what today's youth think.

We are vulnerable to be lured into politics. Students unions are attractive, I agree. They are supposed to make us more politically aware. Why? because the future of our nation is us. But that is an ideal, hypothetical notion. The reality is "buddhe desh chala rahe hai aur youth hawa kha raha hain" (the old people are running the country and the youth is busy in somehow making the time pass by) and this is sad. But it's not their fault. If today's youth doesn't realize it's responsibiity then, someone will have to run the country.

What's more saddening? People don't want to vote! Everybody feels that there are hardly any choice given and at the end of the day, everyone bears just one notion "All politicians are same: corrupt and self-centred"

Hoping for a better future,
Namrata

Not behind every door is an ideal family: Why I feel #selfiewithdaughters is not much effective.

So with Narendra Modi blessing the #selfiewithdaughters movement this movement has gone quite viral. However I feel that this movement is not an effective move in support of women empowerment. I feel this, because a selfie cannot determine what type of treatment a daughter is facing and neither can it fix this. A selfie cannot express the plight of a daughter and a photograph cannot show the misogyny and the evilness inside a man. A selfie cannot change the mindset of people. To be reformed, we need something more effective. The fact that Shruti Seth received so many hate tweets just because she disapproved of this movement and many of tweets from other fathers and mothers and men and women alike show that the selfies that they were taking with their daughters did not make them feel for once that whoever they were condemning was someone's daughter. Remember, behind each door there isn't an ideal family. Remember, not every person is what they seem to be out in the open. So a selfie cannot really change you unless you believe in making a change. It's not the selfie which is supposed to make the change, but the fact that we need to come together to take that selfie and that we need to make the girls and the women comfortable and not alienated in this nation. Sadly many of us has missed the very point of having this movement. Thus, unless people are made aware of the hidden lesson in this movement, I believe, this movement is ineffective.

My opinion on "Love brings out the best in us"

Hey readers.

How are you all? Today I want to share my view on the saying that "love brings out the best in our selves" For a long time, this saying has been used and re-used. I'm sure many of you would believe in this saying and I respect your opinions but I believe that our personal development should not be limited or handicapped by someone else's feelings or emotions. I feel that the love that drives us to do well in our lives should be the love for ourselves. No, I'm not saying that we should all become narcissist but we SHOULD love ourselves and that love should make us work for our own prosperity.
It's a rather short opinion. :p anyway these days I'm fancying over disney songs. la la la. and I watched Maleficent and I highly recommend that movie.

Okay.
Bye,
Nammy

Fight Constipation in minutes!

Constipation. We have all had it, at least once in our life time and truly, it’s no funny business. You feel you are full and you know you’ve got to use the washroom and well, you go to the toilet and after trying to poop for quite some time, even forcing yourself to, you are unable to relieve yourself. This ugly situation which you are facing now is the situation we’ll try to tackle in this post.

So let’s get down to work.
·       First of all, stop trying. It won’t get you anywhere except give a pressure on your nerves.
·       Breathe and try to focus. Calm down. You need a break.

Now, ask someone to give you a bottle of water or go drink lots of water. You feel you drank enough? DON’T STOP. Drink MORE water unless you feel your stomach is going to burst and then rush to the toilet. And after few moments hopefully, you’ll be relieved. If this works for you congrats else, the bad news is that you’ll need to have medicines and wait.

If what you're looking for is a precautionary measure then, the most important tip is to drink lots of water daily. I've also added two links to sites where you'll find loads of measures.
